How long do conveyancing searches take? This depends on how quickly each organisation takes to respond.Many local authorities will turn searches round in about a week, some in a matter of days, but some can take up to six weeks to respond.

Always check what you are acquiring? We will always show you a document known as the ‘title plan’ (sometimes called filed plan}. This will show the full outline of the property you are buying – the boundary will usually be marked red. One of the biggest errors a consumer makes is not checking the plan properly. It is a good idea to go to the home to check that what is shown on the plan agrees with what you think you’re looking at on site. All too often clients mistakenly think that a piece of land at the side or rear of the land is theirs,only to later discover that the legal title to the house doesn’t include this land. Always be satisfied that the title plan matches the physical position at the property.

What is the difference between freehold and leasehold property? If you own a freehold property it invariable means you own a house or bungalow and that includes the whole building and the property it stands on. About Allscott.

Allscott is a small village 3 miles (4.8 km) north west of Wellington, Shropshire. The River Tern flows by. It falls within the parish of Wrockwardine and the borough of Telford and Wrekin. Nearby is the small village of Walcot. The name derives of Aldescote which translates as Aldred’s Cottage.

There is also a hamlet in Shropshire with the same name, but to the northeast of Bridgnorth and in the parish of Worfield (grid reference SO737962).

In 1927, a sugar beet factory (which came to be owned by British Sugar), once stood in the village and was a major local employer. One of the small steam locomotives that used to work in the factory has been preserved at the Foxfield Railway in Staffordshire. The factory buildings have been demolished since its closure and in 2015, an application to build 470 homes on the site was granted permission by Telford and Wrekin Council. Concerns about overcrowded roads have led to calls for a railway station to be opened on the site as it is adjacent to the Shrewsbury to Wolverhampton Line, but the developers have stated that a railway station is not in their plans.

Allscott FC are a football club based at the Allscott Sports & Social Club in the village. The club have recently been accepted for promotion to the West Midlands Regional League Division One, after finishing third in the West Midlands Regional League Division Two (206-17 season). Allscott also finished runners-up in the Mercian Regional League Premier Division (2015-16 season). The club have also won the Shropshire County Challenge Cup on one occasion (2014–15), as well as the Shropshire County Football League Division One league title (2011–12).

Allscott CC play in division 1 of the Shropshire County Cricket League after being relegated from the Premier Division in 2014. They run 3 senior teams on a Saturday afternoon, a mid week team in the Shrewsbury and District League and have a thriving junior section.
