How long does conveyancing take? For relatively easy sale or purchase, expect the conveyancing of your home to take about 2 to 3 months.

The Legal Ombudsman advises “Be wary of hidden costs, disbursements and VAT”. Disbursements are sums paid by conveyancing solicitors to third parties such as search fees and Land Registry fees and stamp duty.
